"Tell me how you analyze a Brady motion," Kennedy told Crews. The Brady motion is a request by a defendant to compel prosecutors in a criminal case to turn over potentially favorable evidence. It is named after the Supreme Court case that affirmed it, Brady v. Maryland.

"How I analyze a Brady motion...Senator, in my four and a half years on the bench, I don't believe I've had the occasion to address a Brady motion in my career," Crews replied.

"Do you know what a Brady motion is?" Kennedy asked.

"Senator, in my time on the bench, I've not had occasion to address that and so it's coming to mind at the moment what a Brady motion is," Crews said.

Kennedy then asked if Crews was familiar with the Brady v. Maryland. Crews said he had heard the name of the case but when asked what it was about, Crews gave a wrong answer.

In Manhattan, during yesterday’s protest in support of President Trump, independent reporter Rebecca Brannon did an incredible job of uncovering the fake “Trump supporters” who were supposed to be there to protest Trump’s impending arrest by the radical Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. Bragg had barricades placed around the Manhattan courthouse in NYC in an attempt to give the false impression that they needed to protect themselves from Trump supporters.

If Trump supporters haven’t become violent yet, after more than six years of being taunted, mocked, and discriminated against by the dishonest mainstream media and threatened by Democrat leaders, it’s fairly unlikely they’re going to suddenly become violent.

One of the protesters, who really stood out in the crowd, was dressed as the infamous “Q-Anon Shaman,” who was recently sentenced to four years of prison for his role in walking around the White House under close supervision of the Capitol Police.

Two of the likely fake Trump supporters called out the “Q-Anon Shaman” look-alike, suggesting he was an undercover federal agent, and asked him to prove he wasn’t wearing a wire. The “Q-Anon Shaman” male obliged the two black male, neither one of whom were wearing any Trump gear, to indicate they were Trump supporters and took off his clothes from the waist up to prove he wasn’t wired.

Students for Fair Admissions replied in its brief and oral arguments that race or racial identity cannot be used as surrogates for anyone's views, background, or outlook on the world. SFFA's brief cited opinions by Chief Justice John Roberts—who wrote that "it is a sordid business, this divvying us up by race"—and by the late Justice Scalia—who wrote that "discrimination on the basis of race is illegal, immoral, unconstitutional, inherently wrong, and destructive of democratic society."

The campaign for diversity, moreover, has not promoted diversity of thought and robust exchange of ideas on campus but rather the reverse—more uniformity of opinion and widespread contempt for First Amendment protections. Diversity, says SFFA, has proven to be a disaster for higher education.

In the midst of this controversy, news of the Stanford incident must have landed like an explosion in the conference room where Supreme Court Justices debate pending cases, and where they are now wrestling with the meaning of diversity and its supposed benefits for higher education. If diversity is so important for freedom of thought and the robust exchange of ideas, why are students and administrators shutting down debates in the name of diversity? Why, indeed, are these attacks on the First Amendment led by deans of "diversity, equity, and inclusion?" Debate and conflict are essential to our adversarial system of justice—yet the protesters at Stanford want to hear only from those who agree with them. That is not what "diversity" was supposed to encourage.

Library Group Frames Removal Of Graphic Sexual Content From School Libraries As ‘Record Number’ Of ‘Book Bans’​

Material written to show sexually explicit and pornographic images to children have been uncovered in recent years at government school and public libraries, prompting drives from conservative lawmakers and parents to remove the content. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), for instance, recently pushed to remove volumes such as “Let’s Talk About It,” which shows graphic depictions of how children can masturbate, as well as “Gender Queer,” which includes cartoons of homosexual activity.

Officials from the American Library Association nevertheless issued a press release on Wednesday claiming that the number of demands to “censor library books” has nearly doubled between 2021 and 2022. Some 58% of the requests “targeted books and materials in school libraries,” while 41% “targeted materials in public libraries.”

“We’re seeing these challenges come from organized censorship groups that target local library board meetings to demand removal of a long list of books they share on social media,” American Library Association Office for Intellectual Freedom Director Deborah Caldwell-Stone said in the release. “Their aim is to suppress the voices of those traditionally excluded from our nation’s conversations, such as people in the LGBTQIA+ community or people of color.”

The American Library Association did not mention that the proposed book removals centered on the alleged sexually explicit nature of the materials. The entity has garnered criticism for recommending “Gender Queer” and similar content to teenagers who attend public schools.

American Tyranny? Perfectly Normal​

Immediately after the 2016 election, the order went out: never let Trump's presidency be normalized." Huh? So someone controls what's normal and what's not?

Actually, yes, the leftist insurgency can and does control what's normal, or at least what's perceived as normal. In fact, normalization is arguably the left's most powerful tool to control behavior,, herd the populace, even impose a tyrannical government.

Normalization starts by saturating news, social media, and entertainment with a targeted subject. This first step is a form of Systematic Desensitization, where people repeatedly exposed to something abnormal, taboo, or even scary gradually relax and accept it.

Then we have the self-categorization theory, an effective tool where people "conform to the norms of certain social groups whenever they want to belong to that group." Social media achieve the appearance of group consensus by using millions of bots (software-controlled, automated accounts) to bolster user numbers. This army of virtual users not only reinforces like-minded opinions, but can flip people's opinion even when the decision "does not reflect their own actual preferences."

Another plus of self-categorization (wanting to belong) is language control. Words considered offensive are labeled hate speech, condemned on social media, effectively banned.

Abortion is a clear example of normalization. It became a hot topic decades ago, talked about in news, on social media, in Hollywood (desensitization phase). Terms were revamped (language control phase). Now it's "women's health," not "abortion," "pro-choice," not "pro-abortion," "fetuses" and "clumps of cells," not "babies." Over time, killing one's own child was no longer untenable, but a normal part of society, even seen as a woman's right.

Using these same tactics, homosexual and transgender behavior once recognized as "abnormal" (3%) has also been mainstreamed. Again, it was gay rights everywhere — the news, entertainment, parades (phase 1). Again it was language appropriation, where behavior outside the norm can no longer be called abnormal, where a man with a male physique who says he's a really a woman cannot be called delusional (phase 2).

Indeed, words like "abnormal" or "delusional" are now hate speech. If you dare speak these words, you'll be ostracized by groups, labeled a homophobe, a hate-monger. But before you clutch your pearls over the words "abnormal" and "delusional," look them up.

Barack Obama Falsely Claims Guns Are Number One Killer of Children​

FOX News ran a story titled “Guns now the leading cause of death for US children, per CDC.” The story noted that CDC figures show firearm-related deaths of people ages 0-19 totaled 4,368 in 2020, while motor vehicle deaths for the same age range totaled 4,036. And during a June 2, 2022, speech, President Joe Biden reacted to the CDC figures by claiming, “Guns are the number one killer of children.”

But Breitbart News dug into the CDC figures and ascertained that the only way to make the claim work is to count 18 and 19-year-olds as children. But if one does a custom search on the CDC website to adjust the category of children to include only those aged 0-17, only those below voting and military age, then the outcome completely flips.

One sees that the number of firearm-related deaths for children aged 0-17 was 2,281 in 2020, while the number of motor vehicle deaths for the same ages was 2,503.

Another important point to note is that the false parameters — treating 18 and 19-year-olds as children for the benefit of boosting reportable gun death numbers — actually works against the left. That is because CDC numbers for children ages 0-19 show that individuals are 27 times more likely to die in an accidental car death instead of an accidental gun death.

A professor at Wayne State University has been placed on leave after suggesting on social media that rather than shouting down conservative speakers on campus, it’s OK to murder them instead.

Higher education in America has become completely dominated by the radical left. That’s likely why this person felt free to make these comments.

A tenured history professor could lose his job for the "unprofessional conduct" of heatedly disagreeing with colleagues about racial matters, protesting when Bakersfield College let other events meet in person during COVID-19 restrictions but not his, and filing complaints about alleged discrimination.

One of the charges stems from Garrett's purportedly racist comments during a diversity committee meeting that debated a proposed "racial justice task force," but a recording of the meeting obtained by Just the News didn't support those allegations.

Garrett asked the KCCD Board of Trustees to let him defend himself at its April 13 meeting when it considers the district's termination proposal, according to an email included in the "request for judicial notice" filed March 21.
