Life as a Mommy in SOMD

My two teenage sons got in a fist fight today. They called me at work with a huge lie, making me rush home to the rescue.

Being the idiot I am, I belived the whole story about the bicycle wreck until Big Poppa got home.

I try, I really do... I need Mommy support. Photo attached. Big Poppa thinks humiliation is the way to go. God I hope so.

This weekend my two got into it verbaly during Easter dinner at my parents. My Mom said something then my Dad went off about how my brother and I used to roll around the house. Boys will be boys. Make them pay for what they break and hope it's not bones...

:yeahthat: My brother and I used to fight like cats and dogs...physically when we were younger, then verbally when we got older. The past couple years we've settled down, we get on each other's nerves occasionally, but since we're apart so much we get along much better. In the last few months we've grown so much closer...they'll get over it, it's like puppies fighting each other to find out their limits.

The big one... Gave the little one a titty twister and told him to go get his Easter candy. The Little one lost his mind and clocked the big one.

Does their school have a blog where you can post the real what happened story for their classmates and chums to read?

But wait, there's more...

Well now ... it sounds like the little one acted in self-defense, and the big one got what he deserved.

I think a stern talking to and a week of farm work should do it. They get to walk around with the embarrassment on their faces, literally, and that's probably gonna suck a little for 'em.

If you do, and you can post pics, maybe think about adding a few words to the picture in Photoshop for added humiliation.

Looks like the younger one got the worse end of that deal.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of punishing them - they're just guy-bonding. Make them do some extra chores so you get something out of it.

You could also call a brand new DJ that will be starting at 98.3 in the morning to see if he will dedicate a song to your candy warriors. Some real sappy mommy's boy song would probably be appropriate.

Oh, yeah. There is Baynet and the St. Mary's Today, I'm sure that will let you post the pics too.

Yeah BP was furious when he came home and saw baby but when the oldest got home and begged for mercy and baby G stood up for him he gave them two weeks hard labor and no friends. Amazing how life trains us. :huggy:

Myself, I'd just say it's boys being boys and wouldn't worry about it much. In my case it was normal to have my big brother pick on me -just because he was older- and I'd take it until I reached the boiling point. Guess my eyes turned red or something because when he saw I was really peeved he'd run. Sometimes brothers just have to let each other know what's acceptable and what isn't. I'd be willing to bet within hours they were back to being brothers again and the fight forgotten. JMO based on my experiences.
