Nice shots! Lots of lightning my way but too many trees in the way to get a look!

Awesome pictures. I couldn't see the lightning that close either but we were outside when the thunder started and it scared my son so bad he ran into the door trying to get in the house and has a bruise on the side of his face now.

Can you tell me how I can get great shots like these? What is your shutter speed set at?

I was a little off on my Aperture for those shots, and they were at SS=30-38 seconds, and a aperture of F18.

I would suggest 30 second Shutter speed at about F14, then play with it from there. I think that is what Danzig used and they turned out a little better at that setting.

I also thought about playing with the White balance, maybe set it for Flash.
