That happened to me once recently. I made sure I moved all my songs to a non-related file and then uninstalled the program, then reinstalled. Solved the problem instantly :yay:

That was my first thought. I hope you don't keep important stuff on that computer and I hope you are well protected from viruses and spyware.

Dunno about you guys but I switched to Aresgalaxy when I had XP. Worked like a charm and NO problems like spyware/adware crap. Now that I'm on Linux, I use a program called Deluge.

Do those programs connect to the Gnutella network?

What?!
I've used limewire for 2-3 yrs now and have never had a problem with spyware/adware/virus. :shrug:

spyware/adware/virus typically come from the download sites, not the program itself, not always, but sometimes.

Just installed it. It asks you to install Ask toolbar, just uncheck and then it goes on. No spyware here.
