See agenda of Planning and Zoning Public Hearing: Linda's Café
Line item #5 is the site concept plan for a Royal Farms on that site. April 20th at Linda's Café will host an information session regarding this at the café from 4-6.

Just sneakin' around....
I'd love to see Linda's move out of that hell hole into some newer, cleaner digs. Yeah, the place has character, but really needs to be torn down. If they leave that place, it will probably be the end of Linda's. If they had really wanted to relocate, they would have done it by now instead of just waiting out the inevitable. :ohwell:

Back when I managed the P-3 lab in B2185, I'd send someone out on Mondays to pick up breakfast. Never disappointed and the always had grits.

I am so very blessed
I'm ready for that entire block to go away, and be replaced with something that can benefit South County residents. I love the idea of coming off the base and stopping there to get gas before heading home. Now, if I want gas, I (1) have to head north on 235 (Wawa) and do a u-turn at San Souci; (2) head north on 235 and turn in to the Pegg Road Shell which isn't the safest place in the area; (3) go across Great Mills Road and stop at the Sheetz at GMR/Route 5 (and I am NOT stopping at the Quick Stop/former Wawa place) but that puts me miles put of my way; (4) stop off at the Hermanville Rd gas station which is a very unsafe intersection; or (5) stop off at Rod & Reel, and I hate that place.

I'd love to have a convenient option for gas, beverages, simple grocery items/snacks that is clean, safe and on mynway home.

Besides, Linda's is one of my least favorite places in the County. Blech!

PMA-290? Or is that P-8?
I believe that's P-8, which was just gearing up when I left. My labs were the old P-3 and S-3 labs from Warminster. I saw the writing on the wall. Got our labs pretty well established and bolted.

You should come to the hearing and speak. I just want to see the site plan concept in regards to traffic.

Traffic could be a nightmare there at certain times. Have exits only on South Coral and Tulagi?
Guess the plans to turn Tulagi into a town center are scrapped along with the monies they paid to draw up those plans.

Meanwhile the county wants to make Gate 2 the main gate again. That means Gate 2 would be open 24/7/365 and Gates 1 and 3 would be open during rush hours. The county wants to return to traffic backed up on Great Mills Road all the way to St Mary's Square in the morning. Now add a Royal Farms at the intersection with people wanting to enter/exit. Fun times.

St. James didn't put the pumps back in?

Just like WaWa at 235/4.

Close, but not quite. At least at the 235/4 intersection the traffic is moving as it passes the WaWa. At the GMR/235 intersection the traffic will be stopped because of it's placement in relation to the stoplight.

St. James didn't put the pumps back in?
Nope. They would have had to install new EPA-approved tanks, with high-dolla' ecology-friendly pumps and what not. The profit on the gas sales was not enough to do all of that, so they ripped everything out and dedicated that space to parking.
