I use vaseline (no snide comments from the lickydasplit folks above!). Brush my lips with my toothbrush each morning and slick on some petroleum jelly. WOrks better than Chapstick for me, even though Chapstick is primarily vaseline.

I've heard of this. Can you get it at CVS or Walgreens drug stores? Or is it like Bag Balm which was intended for dairy cows?

I use crisco; cheap and easy to just wipe out of the cake pan

No. It's the equivalent to using dermabrasion. Keeps my lips soft and smooth....
