I had never heard of the film Little Manhattan but decided to rent it because of the appealing DVD cover. Wow, was this a very sweet and fun film! It's set in modern-day Manhattan and follows two Upper East Side fifth graders who fall in love - a first for both. So the film overall is a humane, good-hearted comedy-drama about the ups, downs, and sideways tips of discovering what love means. This is what all family films should be - children AND adults will fall in love with the cute characters, spot-on dialogue, and stylish NYC cinematography. I whole-heartedly recommend the adorable, memorable Little Manhattan, just out on DVD.
