The man replacing the mayor of Baghdad — who was assassinated for his pro-American loyalties — says he is not worried about his ties to Washington.

In fact, he'd like to erect a monument to honor President Bush in the middle of the city.

"We will build a statue for Bush," said Ali Fadel, the former provincial council chairman. "He is the symbol of freedom."

...of the 'democracy only for me' freaks in the world.

There should be a statue one day of Ali Fadel. President Bush only but nobley offered the opportunity. Fadel and his countrymen are the real heros. They could go the way the DU sees them, turn their back on the future and stay a barbaric tyrannical mess. I don't think so scooter.

Ali Fadel and many like him seem not to be the cowards so many in the US thought they were.
