What sort of sales commission are the local Realtors in Southern Maryland charging these days?

We're relocating in the Spring and I'm trying to get a better idea of what sort of hit we're likely to take on that front.

Sales Commission

There is no standard for sales commission. I do however recommend at least a full three to four percent for the buyers agent. this will encourage more agents to show your home. With so much inventory on the market right now its getting harder to stand out.

It depends on the agreement you have as either the seller or buyer. The percentage is between 3-6%.

We presently have a house on the market and in the listing agreement it has the commission at 6%. That is the total commission that will be split between buyer and seller's agents.
