Timmy Hill, a current student at North Point High School, will compete in the entire 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season... however, he will not be able to run the ARCA race or the Nationwide race at Daytona because he does not turn 18 until the opening day of practice at Phoenix. (Daytona requires all participants to be 18 or over for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards)

Ray Hackett Racing, a Charlotte based operation which got their start in La Plata with Ryan Hackett, has teamed up with popular Old Dominion Speedway veteran Steve Darne to run in the Truck race at Daytona. Alli Owens will be driving the car, and if you intend to watch Speedweeks at Daytona, this is a story you will hear about.
