Logging area between Whirlwind Road and Wilderness Road?

There's a logging operation underway at the subject location. GIS shows it as park lands now. How's that possible?

Parkland or NRWM? Even property in forest preservation has to be selectively logged occasionally to keep the forest viable.

Now if it's parkland have there been new soccer fields approved over there?

But what about the endangered Southern Maryland Three Peckered Fluffy Maned Gnufflered that is rumored to live there? It has yet to be seen but if we destroy it's unique habitat we will never see it.

The State of Maryland owns both sides of Wilderness Road in that area - the access road to Wilderness Run. They logged the other side several years ago, and just let it grow up again. I haven't heard anything about actually building parks there.
