Lollar sure doesn't give up! Charles County would be so lucky to have him as a commissioner, imo.

"With the withdrawal of Republican candidate for District I Commissioner J.T. Crawford July 7, Charles Lollar, who ran an unsuccessful bid for governor in the Maryland primary election, has filed to run against Democratic candidate Ken Robinson in the November General Election.
Lollar filed to run the same day Crawford withdrew his name from the race.
Lollar also ran against Rep. Steny Hoyer for Congress in 2010.
“I’ve never believed in career politicians,” Lollar said. “As a businessman and ex-Marine officer, I know some of the things to do to turn our state round in short order.”
Lollar said his campaign for commissioner was precipitated by Crawford’s withdrawal. “Folks here in Charles County, J.T. Crawford and Collins Bailey, said they needed someone to run,” he added.
The Newburg resident said he feels he can implement plans he intended to enact as governor on a local level. “My honest goal [running for governor] was to bring more business for our state,” Lollar said. “If I can do that for Charles County, then perhaps those who didn’t support me in my campaign for governor will see what we can do on a local level.”
Lollar has lived in Charles County for 11 years with his wife of 21 years and four daughters.
“Politics for me, is something … I believe you become a public servant,” he stated. “You give something back to your community or state, realizing the massive amount of taxes and the poor quality of life some have in our state. As a former Marines Corps officer and businessman, I felt it was my duty to get involved. I was called into politics for this time. I think the citizens would like to see and have the opportunity to have our vision for Maryland here in Charles County, to show the state of Maryland what Charles County can do.”
Robinson said he wasn’t surprised when he heard Lollar had entered the race. “We will run a vigorous fall campaign regardless of who my Republican opponent is,” he stated. “I had heard inklings, that commissioner was his backup plan, so I was not shocked.”
