The food went downhill. Nobody went in a long time.

Same thing that is happening to the one in LP.

Such a shame! That place used to be awesome but I agree, when it changed general managers a few years ago it's never been the same.

My wife and I went in for lunch there a couple of times on weekdays, and it was pretty much deserted, only 1-2 other booths being used. Not a good sign for a restaurant, especially one so close to the mall. So, not really surprised when it finally went under.

That's becoming something of a ghost section, what with the Bennigans across the street closing last year.

Witness the future of our area (LP to Hollywood).

We went to LoneStar in LP last night.. it was TERRIBLE.

We used to like it, but yesterday the service, the bar, and the management was TERRIBLE

Ordered two Peppercorn Steaks with Cheese and Bacon Steakfries. By the time we got it the cheese was rock hard, the fries were room temperature and the steak and gravy were about the same. We asked for A1 sauce, and they said.. We're all out.. A STEAKHOUSE without A1?? Sorry sir, we used more than we had planned on we only order once a week.. Can ya send someone to Giant with $20 and BUY SOME??

Then we bit it into it, I though mine tasted good until the third bite when the salt caught up with me. My date only took one bite and tried to tear her fries apart and she was done.

After about 10- 15 minutes the waitress asked if I wanted another beer to which I replied.. "YES!!" 20 minutes later, as we are getting ready to leave she puts the new beer down in front of me..

I had an AWESOME woman with me last night (I think we'll be going out again for another date) and she talked with the manager. Our bill came out to $4.24.. She left $4.25. It was even awesomer that she paid!!

It was our favorite place for a good while..years even..we liked it over any other 'steak house' option in the area including/especially Outback. But when the quality went down..it went down like a lead airplane with afterburners on! It was not little things or a few things..its like some new guy went in, took over and ordered the staff to make sure EVERYTHING sucked and right now, people!. I could imagine him lurking about, tasting and probing to find any little thing on the menu that might not have gotten the full suck treatment.

As a former restaurant owner..I find it astounding that an owner would ever let something like happen to his/her establishment. Or..maybe it was the owner that did it?

I dont think we have ever had good service or food there.

One night the service and food were so horrible the manager discounted our meal and told us to come back another night for free. she would show us a wonderful Lonestar experience w/ great service and food. Needless to say even with their *extra* effort it was still crappy. We never have been back

You'd think they would still have those huge banners declaring they were hiring still out front - thats a sure fire demoralizer to the employees still working. Of course when I stopped in to inquire as to what positions were open, the charming(not) youngster at the entrance said what ever you want dude. Impressive.
