Long grain rice is a Maggot?!

Yes.
It was Long grain rice...the rice that is longer than regular chinese rice.
Most of japanese restaurant do use it for better Fried Rice.
It is funny that how people look at something and think something else.
it more funny how people make a rumor with thier own mistake.
What's the funnest is that how people get the excitement from thata rumor.

My name is Soo Yang, the manager in Asahi.
I eat there all the time. I go into my kitchen all the time.
I gurantee I have the Cleanest Kitchen in St. Marys County. Probably, in Southern Maryland, too. In six years of our business, We NEVER had a single Problem with any kind of bug..and get Grade A from health inspection evertime we get inspected(it is usually every six month)

I am really bothered and hurt by the comment about our steak. The $100 Gift Certificate was on purpose of saying sorry you couldn't have the excellent night at our place like we gurantee even it was the guest's mistake, It was NOT on purpose of saying sorry you found the Long grain rice that was made her think of Maggot. I guess it wasn't really matter what we do becasue they THOUGHT they saw a maggot.

Hey, do you know anything about a maggOt ?
No, #### Neck, I'm NOT perfect and I did not IMPLY that I think I'm perfect. I simply wanted to know if this Asahi manager had compared notes with the other person representing Asahi management regarding the first maggOt story. If I wanted to correct his spelling, I would have simply done so.

Which reminds me, #### Neck, the word I believe you were looking for is "You're." :nerd:

No idea. The apology was anonymous too.

Sorry. I think you're hot and I don't want to be on your bad side. :flowers:

I enjoy your food and have had good service (except for one occasion) and will continue to enjoy your restaraunt. I think most here understand your side of the story. However, some do appear to have their own issues (service related) and probably won't be won over as easy (into returning).

I've never been there, but C and I both have been wanting to try it. I've heard it's better than Sakura. :yum:

I took a picture of the cutest little mouse under the chef's side of a table at Sakura one night. The table was empty. He was helping with the leftovers. Cutest damn thing you ever saw. :huggy: I can't find the picture though. :ohwell:

Thankfully I had had a LOT of wine, so it was just cute and funny. And that's how I prefer to remember it.

You mean Benihana clones. Most Japanese restaurants I have been to use short grain rice shorter than Chinese rice. Only Benihana started by Rocky Aoki and it's clones use long grain rice and call it Japanese.

The comment was for fried rice. Fried rice at Japanese restaraunts is really more of an American thing, I thought... so its not like traditional Japanese. After all, we only get real Mexican at mexican restaraunts and real Chinese at Chinese restaraunts... nothing Americanized.
