Long, Long, Long, Long Range Forecasts

Far enough long range that they are pretty much meaningless, and not weather-mongering here. What most of the weather forecasters are saying is that the east coast and mid-Atlantic could expect much colder temps and many more snowstorms this year. Substantially colder and snowier. Here's one:

The other thing I'm watching is the hurricane forecast. Nearly all the forecasters are predicting nearly double the number of named storms this year, primarily because of the El Nino to La Nina switch. And there is a depression that most forecasters feel is going to be a hurricane currently forming, lots of fear mongering already.

Anyway, got my generators out of of the storage unit, giving them the once over, just in case.

Glad I did test run them. I had converted my Honda 3500 to propane, but could never get it tuned right. Ran it just now, and it kept stalling, really running poorly. It ran beautifully on gas, so I'm going to remove the propane stuff.

Haven't "they" been saying that we are going to have "brutal, snow-filled winters" and "double the named storms" for the last 5-10 years?

Can't say I agree with this.
I've been watching the month to month daily values and recorded averages by accuweather for the last six or seven years.

We've been cooler than average for the Mechanicsville area nearly every summer since 2018 and warmer, albeit minimally, each winter.

I suspect the winter will be cold and the summer hot. In between the normal ebb and tide will remain pretty much the same... This is Shecky Greg and Im outta here...

That was an epic snowfall. We were trapped inside with snow against the door. At day 2 we climbed out the window! Good times!
I remember trudging throught the snow drifts to meet up with my buddies. I had recently purchased a product from Columbia and they were very happy to see me. They were even happier on the trek home. 😎

I wasn't here back then, but we had the same snowstorm up in NY. My buddies and I would drive thru farm fields in our 4x4s just to see who could make it the furthest before getting stuck.
