I would suspect that anyone wanting to achieve some goals that would otherwise result in hands getting slapped from the West has no better time to do that but now. The entire world is focused on Russia's takeover of the Ukraine. NK can launch missiles, and China can go after Taiwan. No better time to get lost in the news cycle.

Sadly you are right. This is what our Supreme Court did to us when they would not investigate a crooked election.
A Supreme Court Justice should be fair, honest, intelligent and neutral politically, but added to this they should have courage to make rulings that are right in spite of the consequences to the normal state of affairs.

The world has every right to be frightened.
The United States is one of the most powerful countries in the world with some of the most sophisticates weapons.
When a country as powerful as America is led by a demented moron and has a Congress half filled with power mad co-conspirators it's damned well time to be frightened.
