I am looking for a reasonable price young 2-3 yrs old Great Dane, English Bulldog or a Saint Bernard. I would like a dog that is within 2 hrs driving of Lusby, MD that is good with little kids and possibly house and crate trained. I will ensure that the dog is going into a loving family. I tried to go through adoption agency with a lot of run around. It is taking 6 month or more to just to get a dog if you can get in touch with the agency at all. If there is somebody out there who can not take care of there dog and need to get rid of there dog, please email me before sending it to a shelter or call me at 757-375-0801 cell or 410-394-6133 home. If there is a shelter out there that can truly help me please. I have had my house and family inspected, and willing to get it inspected again if a shelter have a dog that I want. Thanks, Boe

This breed of dog, also fondly called as APBT, is known for its loyalty and intelligence. The dogs with this breed make excellent companions since they are very aggressive because of their protective nature
I have already went through them and am on a waiting list for my criteria. When you have little kids alot of animal in the foster care or not around kids so they foster care do not recommend small kids becuase they do not know, so my list for an adoption dog is very short. That is another reason that it is taken so long with the adoption organization.

I don't know who wrote this ad but it's not an APBT, it's either a Presa Mix, Cane Corso Mix, American Bulldog mix.... but not a pit
It's definitely hard to adopt a big dog from anyone that doesn't have one already in foster care living with small kids.
Have patience and eventually the right one will show up.
btw - a rescue from NoVa is trying to get this guy into foster care.

How about Forrest, they say he is about 18 months old, has lived in a home with children and they dont take long to adopt from, one home visit and vet reference is all that is required. Sounds like your Forrest might be your guy.

I have found a LAB/DANE mix dog. He is great. There is a adjustment period that we must get through but he is doing good and so is my kids. I will be posting picture if him later. PS. Sorry I didn't make it to the Adoption day. I am glad that Bandit found a good home.
