I am looking for an english bulldog for adoption or reasonable price ($500.00). I would like a puppy or young bulldog no older than 2yrs old. If anybody knows of someone who have one for sale or an organization who have one for adoption please contact me @757-375-0801. Thanks, Boe

Chances are that if you find one for that price, you'll have more problems in the long run. The vet bills are not cheap with these guys. Just remember that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! The cost of bulldogs are high because of what has to be done to get them & care for them properly. Unless you're a puppy mill, there is no money to be made! I would suggest looking into bulldog rescue groups. Good luck in your search!

Pffttt..the price of a purebred do has little to do with the quality...especially with these dogs. They're popular right now and there are plenty of people that will pay a few thousand dollars without regard for the health or background of the pup.

I guess what I was trying to say is that if you find one for say $500, it's probably not a good idea. Puppy mills tend to charge lower prices than reputable breeders because they are just pumping out the puppies as fast as they can. Not to mention that the dogs/puppies are in horrible conditions & not cared for properly. They will also just breed to breed & don't look at health/temperament etc. So, in that aspect, the cheaper the dog, the more chance of problems(puppy mill dog). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the most expensive is the best either. You always have people that will be greedy & make as much as they can. The bottom line is that the research must be done carefully & there must be time put into it to get the healthiest pet. Yes there are still things that can crop up anywhere, but at least you can try to avoid some problems. You are right, they have become very popular & most people don't realize what they are getting in to. They don't do enough research & then regret it later.
