Looking for sandblasting services for smaller projects.

I have 2 cast iron skillets, 9” + 11” in diameter, and the wrought iron base/stand of an old sewing machine that I need to have sandblasted to a clean state. Also need to have the sewing machine base sprayed with a powder coating, or similar preservative.

Randy Combs has stood up a small shop on Chancellors Run Road in his Dads ol building, Combs Prototype and Fabrication. Small as I said, I've seen some of the stuff he's done intakes and such, blasted and powdercoated, take a peek. Good guy.

You don't need to sand/media blast cast iron.

Wire brush it and season it.

Was going to mention this exactly. If they're a bit too gnarly for a simple wire brush treatment, you can toss it in a fire. My wife found some sought-after vintage Lodge cast iron (aficionados know what year is key here; I don't) at a flea market, but they were an absolute mess. Didn't make any headway with a wire brush, so on a whim, I threw them in a bonfire we had going one night for about 30 minutes or so, and the crud sloughed right off. Did a bit more cleaning with a wire brush, re-seasoned, and they were as good as new. This was more than 10 years ago, and they're still in use today. They make perfect fried or scrambled eggs with absolutely no sticking at all.
