ok well i was watching the montel williams show one day and saw the health master diet stuff on and thought man i wanna do that. well his blenders and recipe books were like 250.00 or some crazy crap, so i went to the store and bought a blender and some fruits and veggies but now i dont know what to make. i like all veggies and fruits but cant seem to get creative enough to make something besides the typical strawberry banana type smoothies.

so anyone have some good recipes that i can try and anything i can add to them, i wanna try this as a meal replacement type thing have one for breakfast and have some for dinner to replace part of dinner. i guess i am looking for something to fill me up and not make me hungry in a few hours. thanks in advance.

Here is how I make my fruit smoothie

i use blue berries strawberries blackberries raspberrries and bannana and one of the small plain yogurts 1/2 of it or all if you are making a lot and 2 handfuls of ice cubes and blend. Its very good.

I make smoothies all the time!

I start with some yogurt, a bit of juice or water and some fresh fruit (peaches, strawberries, banana, etc.). Start blending, then slowing add ice until smooth. I'll usually toss in some protein powder, too. You can get a giant tub of whey protein at Wal-Mart for around $12.

does the whey protein make you feel full longer? or what does that do? sorry such a stupid question.

i also thought of adding flaz seed oils or some other things to it. im not much of a vitamin person but i dont think i would have a problem with it in my smoothie. so i am interested in other things i can add to it also.

IDK why the whey makes you feel full.... it's not a stupid question at all! I might consider whey after I have the baby, alternate hemp and whey protein.

Frozen fruit is best to use, you don't need to add ice. I don't like to use juice, too much sugar, if you need to make it slightly sweeter try raw agave nectar or raw honey. The agave doesn't spike your blood sugar as quickly.

Flax oil is good, try adding raw hemp seeds for good protein and fiber. I like Nutiva Hemp protein with Blue Diamond unsweetened almond milk or Turtle Mountain unsweetened coconut milk.
Throw in a frozen banana, frozen blueberries and frozen strawberries.... You could try the Nutiva chocolate hemp shake with a frozen banana and some raw extra virgin coconut oil :yum:

When in season buy different types of fruits. cut and sanwich bag it in mixes. Starwberry & bananna, tropical, berries or melon. Then freeze the bags. Dump frozen fruit and vanilla yogurt and blend. Add a little suger or honey if needed. They are then available all year long if you make enough.
