Looking for table-top RPG group

I'm still somewhat new in the area, and I cannot seem to find a gaming group. That may be because I've only tried at Bowe's Books, and most of them are more interested in Warhammer, but I don't really know where else to look. Does any one have an opening in a group, or know someone who does? Or, is there any interest in forming a new group? I'd have to clear it with my flat-mate first, but I could probably even host.

I am a fairly experienced player, mostly with D&D 3.5. I have everything needed to play or DM in 3.5 or the rather unheard of Epic system (which I swear is not cheesy, despite the name), though I wouldn't mind learning most any new rule set. I can go for role-play or power-game styles of play, though my favorite is a good mix of both.

Where are you located?

When I was at SMCM, there were a few games going on that I am sure you could get an invite to. Perhaps toss a few flyers around colleges to see if anybody would join.


And D&D Second edition > 3rd.

Edit: I've never gotten a chance to play 2nd ed. Most gamers I know get pretty energetic on the topic, either for or against. I'm still reserving judgment till I've had the chance to try it.
