BARI, Italy - An irate Italian family beat up a principal because they were unhappy with the grades a young relative had received and a ban on mobile phones at school.
Wow :faint: When I went to school, we weren't allowed to have mobile phones. I heard they had decided to let kids take phones to school with them in the US after 9/11. I don't know how true it is since I've been out of school for a good while and have no kids. Seems to me that is an idiotic reason to go medievil on the principal and the kids grades are his own fault :duh:

 How is it you have been out of school "a good while" and you were not "allowed mobile phones"? A "good while ago", when I went to school they weren't invented yet. There were however payphones we were free to use in between classes. But then again, we were allowed to smoke at school too . How long have you been out of school?

I wish this article gave more information. Maybe Olbermann will cover this and why Bush allowed our "new American values" to infect another nation.

I've been out of school 10 years. I'm not old enough to have not had cell phones invented when I was in school. We just weren't allowed to carry them. We did have pay phones, and we weren't allowed to smoke, although we usually did anyway

 We didn't have cell phones during my time in school either. There were payphones that we could use too. No smoking for us and that didn't bother me even a tiny bit. :jameo:

We had to go outside the fence to smoke.
You shouldn't have put up with that. You should have beaten up your principal, then he would have let you smoke right in class.

Oh now that right there is funny! :lmao: Back then we didn't even think of that kind of thing. I mean, good gracious, beat up your principal? No way. :nono:
