I can't believe God is sitting around waiting for praise and accolades from all of us. God wants us to shut up and do good works. It has absolutely zero to do with singing bravado 24 hours a day. God doesn't need that.

I also cannot believe that God is "sitting around."
I also agree He does not need us to sing his praises. If He wanted, He could make the rocks cry-out...
I also agree he wants us to do good works...NOT for salvation but to render service to Him (Unto the least of these...)

However...He does want people, made in His image to recognize Him above all other...before others...(read the Psalms). He is a Jealous God who will not have images or false gods worshipped.

So sing,...yes, act... yes,...and know that His salvation is offered through Christ alone.

What would Jesus say?

There's a time for work and a time for Praise. Don't prevent those who wish to Praise The Lord for He is worthy to be praised.

Luke Chapter 10, verses:

38: Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39: And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40: But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

Our whole lives should be a song of praise to the glory of God.

Ps 117:1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

Ps 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Why do we praise the Lord? Because we love Him.

And when we love someone, we sing their praises!

The Lord is GREAT; the Lord is EXCELLENT; The Lord is GLORIOUS; and WONDERFUL; how incredible is His Ways! He is POWERFUL and AWESOME in His POWER; the Lord is GOOD and Holy and Pure and Lovely; the Lord is MERCIFUL and LOVING; the Lord is FAITHFUL and TRUSTWORTHY; He is TRUE. He has given us SALVATION and EVERLASTING LIFE! The Lord is AWESOME!!! HE is my portion and cup forever and ever and in Him I trust. I will enter His gates with thanksgiving; I will go into His courts with praise. I will give thanks to HIM and bless His WONDERFUL Name forever and ever. HE shows me the paths of life; in HIS Presence is the fullness of joy; at HIS right hands are pleasures forevermore. ( Psalms 100:4; Psalms 16:11)

I wouldn't judge what God needs nor would I judge how others choose to show God their love.

Also I wouldn't berate anyone for how they choose to answer their calling.

Go, make, teach, is what I read in the Gospels.

Not being mean, but its obvious you dont know Him, or his charecter or nature.
The whole reason we are here, is to bring honor and glory to Him and enjoy him forever.
Your right God dosent need us at all, but works done by a non believer are just good deeds, not works and are an abomination to him, not that he cant use them, but the spirit in which they are done is not glorifying to him.

When you see/observe that your fellow man needs or could use some help, do you provide/offer some assistance?

Almost everyday, we can use some help from one another; are you willing to offer that relief?

THAT is how we help one another - in times of need. No matter how great or small.

Just be there and be willing.
