Lost cat in Redgate area

Hi everyone! I'm new here (posting on the forums - not new to the area). Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

Our cat, "Simba" is missing as of Feb. 22nd. Just looking for a little help in case anyone happens to see him. He's 2 years old and is white on his belly, front legs and around his nose. His back, tail and most of his head are grey with black stripes with a little bit of brown mixed in. He has a long tail. He's usually pretty friendly with strangers. I live in Redgate and he's lived at the same home his whole life. He stays inside at night and goes out to play in the woods during the day, but until 2 days ago had always come back inside at dark. Obviously lots of different things could have happened to him but I spoke to someone that lives about a half a mile away from me and they said that they thought they saw him in their yard last night - so that makes me think maybe he's just wandered off and hasn't figured out how to get back home yet.

Anyway, I know its a longshot, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes he did, thank you for asking. He finally wandered back last night. We've had him for 2 years and that was the first time he's stayed gone overnight, let alone for 3 nights. Anyway, I guess I'm finally gonna have to have him fixed. Didn't want to do that if it was at all possible. Thanks.

Why don't you want to have him neutered?

My cat was missing for a month. During the move into the new house we stayed at my parents for 3 weeks between settlements. On 1/12 it was beautiful out, 60 degrees in the a.m. so I let Oscar out to play with the my parent's other cat. He came back that night but didn't come in and was missing till 2 weeks ago. My sister posted signs everywhere and someone visiting the vets saw his sign and called and informed me that Oscar had been seen in their neighborhood with the feral cats. We found him 5 miles from my parents house perfectly healthy! He has a history of hanging out with feral cats and making friends with neighborhood cats. I'm still amazed we have him back, I thought for sure he was a goner. He's an inside cat and we are looking for a buddy for him.

P.S. he is neutered, has been since a kitty, it seems the feral instict (barn cat) has not left him.

You have had him going outside during the day for two years and you didnt have him neutered? I am very happy that you got your cat back but its hard to look past how many litters of kittens he may have running around because of your choices. Just a thought

I am happy he is home!!! Bad night to be out in the cold and snow.

Please get him neutered!
It IS kitten season, and a tom will travel up to 7 miles to find a female in heat!
There are many low cost clinics out there if that is a problem, plus he will be a happier ( and healthier) cat.
Does he have his rabies shots and the other shots?
