Help "Invisible Dogs"
I hope you find him quickly! Please contact TriCounty Animal Shelter and file a lost dog report see if one has come in. BUT if you don't get him back right away you are far better off to go to the shelter every day to see if he is there. They are short handed and don't always relay all the right information (but they do scan the dogs that come in). Notify the local vets as well.

Post flyers at beginnings of all roads and at all businesses.
Talk to as many people as u can in all the neighborhoods around. Dog travel fast. Also
Someone could have picked up the dog to keep him safe from getting hit and just waiting to see a flyer. Good luck

He is home!!!

Thank you for your support. We tracked him back and forth through our neighborhood - he was having fun with the chase, I think. I contacted the local veterinarians (and then called them back to say he was home) as well as the shelter (we got him from the shelter a month ago).

For anyone who has lost their pet, also remember to go by the post offices and banks. They were very nice and helpful.

Webster is home!!!!

Aren't BEAGLES amazing.

I bet he wasn't lost... if he was he wouldn't have made it home.

I remember getting a call from a friend off of Chancellors that her beagle had escaped out of the yard....

I drove over and looked in the woods behind the house and all of the usual places she might go....

When I finally spotted her, she was walking on the sidewalk (had been swimming in a grease slicked pond somewhere) and going past every door to see if it was hers... St Georges Hundred units all look alike... Not sure if she would have made it back on her own as she was 3 blocks away.

Another time, I came home to my roommate freaking that my dog and her dogs got out of their kennel ( a neighbor girl had let them out) and were out and about...

I drove around and a few people had spotted them... I predicted that they were just going in a circle and would be home within the hour... I was right.

Glad you got him back.... don't forget.... beagles are escape artists. Take a look on youtube if you don't believe me and see some of the videos of beagle escape successes that have been filmed.

Sportdog collars

We have had Webster for a month. We adopted him from Tri-County where he had been for about 3 months. They picked him up as a stray. He is 6 years old and knows how to romp in the woods! We ended up cornering him under a little dock in the river with the help of some friends and a golden retriever. I kept seeing him - down the road, or a few hundred yards away with some chickens, or a few houses down in their backyard - and he would run, run, run! I think he is an escape artist - we usually take him out only on harness but this time a door was opened and the garage door happened to be open and he bolted out - harness and all!

The golden retriever that was helping us had a sportdog collar on that his owner could make beep to help locate him - does anyone have any reviews on these? Obviously we are in the market for one now.

AWESOME news!!! We found a flyer in our mailbox about Webster and felt so bad! We have a beagle also and I've had to drive around looking for him more times than I can count.
