A Good friend of mine has a neighbor that lost their Great Dane in the Benedict/hughsville area last night. He is all black and about 18 months old. He has a collar and leash on when last seen.. any help would be appreciated. Oh and he answers to the name of Aries and is very friendly.

Thank you,

Ted

I live in the Hughesville area and will keep an eye out. I let my husband know too as he is home during the day and will be out running errands. Tell your friend to have the owner contact the Tri-County Animal Shelter if it hasn't already been done.

Post fliers all around the area. Many people are out fishing by the Benedict bridge so that would be a good spot to post or hand out the fliers.

Hope he turns up soon.

Thank you tes218 I believe they have checked there already but i will check.. they are worried that because the leash was still attached he may be stuck somewhere.

Aries.... what a great name for a big dog!! :yay:

18 month old great dane... might there be an arm on the other end of the leash he has on? Just curious.

I love Great Danes, especially when they have awesome names. I hope your friend finds the dog in perfect safety and health.

black great dane found

Hi Ted,
I hope you're still on this forum and wondering if you could do me a favour. I came across a posting yesterday on a couple lost and found dog sites that I belong to and one was for a black male great dane that was found in Hughsville. They are trying to find his owner. He's currently at a kill shelter and a number of rescues are trying to get him out and up to a rescue in CT if the owner isn't found soon. I am a dog lover myself and one of my dogs is a dane. I just want to try and help so I did a google search and came up with your posting. I know your posting was from June of 2010 but please can you contact your friend asap and ask them if by any chance their neighbour has lost their dog again. This is a shot in the dark but worth the effort. I don't live in southern MD but I joined the forum as it was the only way I could communicate with you. thanks Natalie
