Fisherman Pulls 200-Year-Old Flintlock Rifle Out of Lake Winnebago

What's the most interesting thing you've pulled up with your boat's anchor?

When you're out fishing, you're bound to pull up just about anything.

This guy found an incredibly unique historic artifact.

While fishing at Lake Winnebago, the Fond du Lac resident pulled up anchor and found a 47-inch-long, rusted rifle encrusted with zebra mussels.

We've pulled up a couple things with our anchor - An old car side mirror, and an electric cable (Still active I guess? Scared the crap out of us!).

Having a pontoon, we would beach it at times and explore for 'treasures'. Came across this one day along a shore of the Potomac:

Back in the 70s, the 7th district was awash with "ordinance" dredged up by local watermen. I remember handling a few as a teen. :yikes:
