My lights are track lighting on wires, the think in the center needs to be replaced (It goes bad about every year and a half.)
If it only happens in the kitchen,
can you isolate it to the lights (by turning them on and off)?
Whatever the issue is, the lights should not be emitting enough RF noise (even at a harmonic) to bleed into the audio circuitry of your Mac...
Like RadioPatrol said; if it was fluorescent, then this is possible as it could be a bad ballast (fluorescent lighting is "noisy" electrically) , but with track lighting, something's not right. - OR the filtering for your audio circuitry could be bad on the Mac, but the problem should happen in other places as well.
