I went to Lowes yesterday and bought a piece of plywood.
At one time Lowes gave a military discount.
I was told no more discount on lumber, appliances or wiring.

You know all of the stuff you go to Lowes for.
Let me say to Lowes, I thank you for the discounts I previously got and this will not prevent me from continuing doing business with Lowes.
I kind of chuckled actually . More or less knew it was coming. Things are getting tight out there.

Home Depot gave it to me last week on paint. Pays the taxes anyway.

As it was explained to me by a Lowes (Home Depot also) manager, they stopped the 10% on lumber and appliances because we were using it to buy for friends and relatives. If that is the real reason we kind of did it to ourselves.

Yep, the amount of times I enter my military info and it drops the bill have become pretty rare.

Well I suppose if a person buys 3 refrigerators, a few thousand 2X4s, and a couple of washer/dryer sets in 3 months they would wonder why.......
