Lucky me!

Just walked out to head to the store and there in the front tire, easily visable, was a nice bolt and washer sticking out of the tread. Any other position and I wouldn't have seen it. Tire pressure was down to about 28. Got the plug kit and compressor ready and when I pulled that thing it really let out the air. Got the plug in and seems to be holding as per spit test. I'll check pressure later. Hope I remember to lower the jack before I leave in the am.

Looks like it's holding. I think I know where I may have picked it up. I was up at The HD dealership on Sat. Probably a bolt from a bike, looks like it had loosened up and finally narrowed down to nearly a nail point before falling out.

LMAO. That's exactly why I carry various spare bolts and nut in my saddle bag....my '47 tends to 'shed' fasteners on ocassion.
