"After completing two tours in Iraq, Sgt. Wayne Leyde won $1 million from a scratch-and-win lotto ticket on Tuesday.

Now that he's won, Leyde, a 26-year-old member of the Washington National Guard, says he's still going to volunteer to go back to Iraq for a third tour and won't spend any of the money in the meantime. "

Supper's Ready
It used to be widely rumored that when a military member either earns a large inheritance or wins a lottery, they could be discharged (honorably, of course).

I've never been able to verify this to be true from anything I've ever read. Folks I work with were talking about this on hearing this news.

Congrats to the winner is all I can say. :yay:
