Scary is a state of mind.
Im not scared of
1. Racing a street luge down a mountain road at 80 mph in auto traffic.
2. Skating down a moutain road on my skateboard at 65 mph in auto traffic.
3. Riding jet powered skateboard at 100mph
4. Climbing 800ft antenna towers

I am scared of
1. Climbing on my roof to clean the gutters and put up Christmas lights
2. Amusment rides that go round and round
3. Roller Coasters :tantrum
4. The Jet Luge not starting in front of 20,000 spectators
5. My Wife.

I am at a cross between being scared and respectful of the power of our new M109R LE. ( I will get over the scared soon)

What ever it is, as long as I do things intellegently, and listen to the Holy Spirit (the angel on your shoulder for non chirstains) I know God's got my back and has a plan for me.

Hey Bob, were you ever a member of the Fanglers?

Whats a Fangler?

It was an old tinkerers club. We used to do all sorts of weird ####.

Some of the projects included turbocharged riding lawnmowers, VW powered hovercraft, V8 motorcycles (V8 swaps into damn near ANY vehicle really), DIY fuel injection, a Buick 3.8 powered chainsaw (THAT THING WAS SCARY!!!) and a bunch of other strange stuff. LOTS OF FUN.

Anyhow, there was a guy mucking around with turbines in the club. It's been several years since I was active in the club and I was wondering if that was you. That's all.

As far as I know the club just evaporated. It was incredible while it lasted though.

3.8l chainsaws might have had something to do with that

I would be less scared of the saw, than I would be scared of the person who could pick it up and use it.

It took 4 of us. :lmao:

We actually considered turbocharging it using some turbo regal bits one of the guys had laying around!!!

As it was, it had shorty headers and dual open pipes going straight up. SOunded pretty wicked.

We got the idea from a small block chevy V-8 powered chainsaw we saw pictures of at a car show.
