Matthew 5:27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Before you go there.... there's a big difference between "Looks at a woman lustfully" and "looks at a woman".A man knows when he's lusting. He can feel it in his groin.
A woman knows when a man is lusting.
It gets "lightened up" in church..... no one wants their sensibilities to be dampened by carnal knowledge in the church.
No one wants the preacher to preach the perils of rape from the pulpit. The wonderful women in the church may get the vapors.....
Back when Jesus was preaching the Sermon on the Mount.... women weren't allowed in the chapel.... they had their own place to worship.... outside.
Back when Jesus was preaching the Sermon on the Mount.... women were property.... no one stuck up for women at all back then..... no one but Jesus.
