Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod

I was raised in this church and, although I have experimented with other religions, none of them feel quite the same.

However, I have been unable to find a Lutheran Church practicing the Missouri Synod in Calvert County.

Does anyone know where I can locate one within a reasonable distance of Prince Frederick?

But wait, there's more...
Just out of curiousity, is the Missouri Synod the one that's a little more "uptight" or is that another one?

We went to a Lutheran church in Arizona, and I can't remember which "brand" it was; just that it was more laid back.

It really depends on the individual church. Some still hold to long standing traditions while others are more contemporary.

How many Lutherans does it take to change a light bulb?

None, Lutherans don't like change. :lmao:

:lmao: I can appreciate that!

Yes, it does depend on the individual church. I grew up in one that was, in reflection, very uptight. However, I attended others in my adult years that were Missouri Synod and they weren't quite so stodgy. I think they have become a little more relaxed over the years.

The traditional Lutheran Church, NOT Missouri Synod practicing, is about as close as you can get to Catholic minus the curtsey at the pew and blessing with holy water at the entrance. After all, the Lutherans were an offshoot of the Catholics so they maintained some of their customs but eliminated others to make themselves unique.
