So I drowned my sorrows in bad for you food this weekend.:killingme:killingme:killingme.and ended up making a neat discovery when making mac and cheese..

Usually I season it with salt and pepper and a little onion powder..but this weekend I was searching around for my onion powder and couldn't find it..so instead I came upon my packets of sazon goya (I have it on hand for yellow rice) so I tossed it with the buttered pasta before I added the cheese sauce..and holy crap it was gooood  It added a really great flavor (next time I will put two packets, it was very subtle) and a beautiful color (esp since I use a blend of cheeses not all yellow chedder)

What else is that stuff good on? I think it's my new favorite

That actually sounds really good. I'll try it next time I make mac and cheese.

I don't eat mac and cheese but another comfort indulgence is the candy corn wonton.

Take an eggroll wrapper and cut it into four squares. Place a single candy corn in the center of the square, fold into a triangle over the piece of corn and seal. Fry in peanut oil until golden. My stars!

Does the candy corn melt?

That was the sort of reaction I had to fried oreo's, 'til I had one.

Just not my idea of a 'comfort food'. To me, a comfort food is a roast chicken with stuffing and smashed taters with gravy, or a pot roast with veggies.

Ok, maybe a box of frozen Ring Dings with milk.....
