I had beef stroganoff last night and didn't think twice about it.

I hate this sort of reactionary horsesh*t.

Isn't everyone supposed to be dead of SARS by now? Aren't we supposed to be living in caves because of Y2K? Wasn't North Korea supposed to nuke us by now?

Most of us are old enough to remember the Cold War and how everyone was freaking out and Hollywood was putting together "The Day After" type shows. How Reagan was leading us to *cue ominous music* CERTAIN DOOM!

The real threats to our society are lawyers and fear-mongering journalists, not to mention liberal Democrats. We should be getting excited about them instead of one silly cow that has a disease that doesn't pose a threat to humans anyway.

My coworkers will be glad to hear that most of you in Southern Maryland still will be buying beef. I work for USDA.

I also plan to have beef/steaks tomorrow evening for dinner.
