Mad Science

Anybody have their kid's birthday party at Mad Science of Southern Maryland? It looks interesting but I would like some reviews before I check into it further. From the website, it looks like they will come to you. But can you come to them? The only place I could see having this party if we have to pick the venue is at the community center but not sure if they (community center) will allow that. Anything is better than the typical Hyperspace or bowling party.

I just saw something in the parent thing they sent home for school and I'm interested to. My boys would love something like that.

It looks very neat and I was thinking about it for my sons birthday last year, but we did something else. I haven't heard any reviews about them...please share what you find!

Wow! Are they expensive. $169 for basic package (14 kids + birthday kid) but prices will go up after 1/1/08. Plus if you have it somewhere other than your house, you have to pay for the venue. I was thinking about having it at Southern Community Center (anyone know how much renting a room for a few hours costs??). They offer extras though like a hover craft ride, bubbling potions, cotton candy making and rocket launching. Not sure if this is in the cards or not for my son. Will have a hard time trying to convice Daddy that we should spend that kind of money for a 7 year olds birthday. I have until January to decide so who knows??!!

You're a LOON :)
I have a coupon around here somewhere for a free birthday party from them.. my neighbor won it in a drawing and has adult kids now so she gave it to me. Now I just have to figure out where i stuck it.

I had them for my son's party this past July. All the kids seemed to enjoy it. I would say they are best suited for 6 year olds and up.

OMG, C_Jo would love that! But he doesn't have 14 friends. I wonder if there's a lonely guy discount?

I bet if he told kids at school what will be happening at his party, he'd find 14 friends!

I've often wondered how people can get so many posts in relative short period of time unless they just sit at the computer all the time. But between work, kids, house chores, etc who does that?? I can only post at work and maybe if I can sneak away at home so I'll probably lose interest before I even come close to 100 posts. This is a good way to get info on what I need to know and pass time at work. My husband still has no clue how I "magically" got the website for buying our Malamute. (thanks sockgirl!!!). And he never will!!
