Yes, sailors and booze don't always have a funny happy ending. Trieste was without doubt the prettiest cleanest city in Italy. A good buddy with a serious drinking problem passed out on a train and when he awoke he was in Tito's socialist/communist Yugoslavia. They let him return 2 days later... his mouth looked like he had giant wax lips, cut and bruised and that was probably without help. He had a nasty habit of getting so shitfaced he fell down steps and ladders on a routine basis.
Last I heard he was a sheriff in Colorado! I'm glad Harvey didn't go to Hong Kong with us.

Remember years ago Readers Digest had "The most unforgettable character I ever met"? Well Harvey was one of those guys! He would do anything for you. He was a parachute rigger 2nd, he made me flight bags and for others whenever we needed them. Never charged a dime but we made up for it anyway.
