Make it stop!

I am about to claw my eyes out and stab myself in the ears if I see the "this might require an active-x control click here to install (which I have done repeatedly) or hear that dang "blip" again at the top of my screen. How in the he!! do I get it to stop?

You have to claw your eyes out and stab yourself in the ears.

It says "Macromedia flash player8". Every time I go to a new page on this site it is doing it. I defragmented today and cleaned up my drive (or whatever) and now it won't stop!!!

A couple of things - hold the Ctrl key as you click.

Go to www.macromedia.com and select "get macromedia flash player" at the bottom. Make sure you follow the directions, such as clicking the bar at the top of your browser.

Otherwise I'd start thinking about firewall or virus protection settings you may have. For that, you'll either have to get help from someone else, or invite me over when your hubby and kids aren't home
