(AP) DENVER A 75-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to 60 days in jail and three years probation in the shotgun slaying of his 24-year-old grandson.

James Handy had been charged with second-degree murder in the December 2004 death of Aaron Handy, but he pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter as part of a plea bargain.

A long history of family problems preceded the shooting, said Denver district attorney spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough.

60 days?!?! Is there no justice these days
He pled guilty to reckless manslaughter, so it's not so hard to believe. It's not as serious a charge as murder. And like bresamil said, there's probably something more to the story.

There must be something more to this story.

There is more to it I read this story back when it happened and it seemed to me there was a tussle and the gun accidentally fired. can't remeber. If a grandson has no more respect for his grandparents then to getting physical with them then the grandson was probablly a POS.
