(AP) DENVER A 75-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to 60 days in jail and three years probation in the shotgun slaying of his 24-year-old grandson.
James Handy had been charged with second-degree murder in the December 2004 death of Aaron Handy, but he pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter as part of a plea bargain.
A long history of family problems preceded the shooting, said Denver district attorney spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough.
