Man lives dream of riding on manatee...then goes to jail

A man trying to take a ride on a manatee instead got a ride to the Monroe County jail Friday in Islamorada.

A witness advised the defendant that making contact with manatees was against the law, but the man reportedly declared, “I’m riding it!”

Nah. I went there right after college - since it's on several keys, it's a "Village of Islands" which is what the name means. Nice place.
When I was there, they called it the "Sportfishing Capital of the World".
