Manchin, the next Perot?

If Joe and Donald are the Party nominees, a Manchin presidency wouldn't surprise me.
With two of these named Joe I assume you mean if "Biden and Trump are the party nominees". I doubt Manchin could achieve the requisite 270 electoral votes, but he might snatch a few. If no one gets 270 the election would be resolved by the House. One vote per delegation without regard to how many representatives each state has. Thus pulling 26 House votes would be all that is needed.

Bernie doesn't have game, he has lunatics. Manchin might be a tolerable choice near the middle of the road instead of the polar ends of the spectrum. Not enough to win, but enough to throw a wrench into the machine.
I just don't think he has much name recognition - Republicans I know think he's still basically a Democrat and caves when the Senate is up to him - Democrats see him as a bit of a traitor.

And he's just dull. He will likely lose re-election.

Just don't see people lining up to vote for him.

He will likely lose re-election.
Which might be his reason for the "No Labels" bid. To date he hasn't indicated running for his seat and Justice will be a tough hill to overcome.

As pointed out above all he has to do is afford an alternative for a few swing states that are fed up with standard party offerings. I think the national mood is ripe for exploitation as many have tired of all the infighting going on.

Being "one of us" means whole a lot though.
Maybe, he might pull a big chunk of the Biden vote out here but the Trump 2024 seems stronger then both 2016 and 2020. Seeing a ton more flags and signs so I'm pretty sure WV is his for the taking.
