Many Americans Not 'Absolutely Certain' Of God

The poll found that 42 percent of all U.S. adults said they are not "absolutely certain" there is a God, including 15 percent who are "somewhat certain," 11 percent who think there is probably no God and 16 percent who are not sure.

I don't find this surprising as we have come from being one nation under God to being a godless society, in general.

Polls like this annoy me...

...because it should say "42% not strong in their belief in God" or "48% very strong in their belief" because, by definition, NOT ONE of us is absolutely certain of the existence of God; it would not be faith if we were ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN.

Actually, many of us are certain. We just can't tell anybody about it. Because those who KNOW, for sure, are dead.
