at McKays in Leonardtown for $7.99/lb. Now, I'm not a big fan of fish at all, but these are yummy. Kind of like fresh tuna. I baked some Friday night with just butter and lemon, but I think it would be much better with a fruit salsa on it or blackened. Picked some more up today to blacken tomorrow. I had never seen marlin in a store.

They get their food by mugging people on the beach, they don't need to go to stores.

Try them on the grill :yay:

...and Woodburns (Solomons) usually carries it.

Anything special you would recommend doing to it while grilling it? I was really pleasantly surprised by the taste. I thought it might be "gamey."

As with Tuna, you could marinate in Italian Dressing, about 30 minutes.

Or a oriental marnade, Terriaki Sauce, Garlic, Ginger, Lime Juice, green onion and little brown sugar.

Your idea of using a "Salsa" after you grill it would be yumm. Start with Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, Salt & Pepper, grill and top with Salsa.

Or maybe grill as above and top with a roasted red pepper sauce. Add a small jar of roasetd red peppers, a half-pint of whipping cream, Salt & Pepper to the food processor, pulse until smooth. Heat for about ten minutes and go!

The best way ever is to marinate for at least an hour in soy sauce, fresh ginger slices and fresh mashed garlic. Grill till just done and it will melt in your mouth:)
