Here are some of the latest additions to the Marlow Heights 60s and 70s web site:
I was in the DC area on September 29th, and spent that afternoon in Marlow Heights. I went to Marlow Heights Shopping Center, Iverson Mall, the former Sandymount Elementary School, my old neighborhood in Deer Park Heights, and the 7-11 and bowling alley hangout on Dallas Drive and St. Barnabas Road. I took over 60 pictures and they are in a photo gallery for vieiwng. Note: you will need Macromedia Flash Player to view the pictures here. I have a link on the page to download it, if you need it:

Steak in a Sack: in addition to the pictures in the photo gallery above, I scanned in a menu. By the way, during my visit, I stopped by and ordered a traditional, "Steak in a Sack", and Home Fries. Every bit as delicious as I remembered them to be!

Local TV commercials from the 60s and 70s: I'm currently trying to find a source for copies and rights to publish old DC area TV commercials from the 60s and 70s on my site. These would be of the type we used to see, such as, "Ourisman Chevrolet", "White Cap", "Ralph Brown Buick Opel ("Noooooobody!")", "Mann's Potato Chips", or any others that were pure DC 60s and 70s. I've contacted a couple of advertising agencies, but so far I haven't found anything yet. I'd really appreciate any suggestions or leads to make this happen.
