Yes, it is. She's the sister of famous Italian designer, Gianni Versace.

Not only that, the article (from Dec. 2006) says that Mary Kate had gotten a "Donatella Versace-esque" hair color. I'm guessing that's something near platinum blonde, because the link doesn't work.
