It's blipping in and out, mostly out. It's happening in many states because so many people are filing for unemployment.

Keep trying is the best you can do.

I was actually able to file my unemployment claim on Tuesday afternoon within 15 minutes. I was shocked because a couple others said they couldn't get thru only a day before.

Ok, dumb question - let's say you work two jobs - and one of them is shut down due to COVID-19 - but the other is not.

Can you still apply for unemployment?

You can apply, but they may or may not approve you. It would depend on the salary for each job. Like, if you're a pencil pusher for some contractor, and you deliver pizzas for pin money, and the pizza job goes away but the contractor job doesn't, you probably wouldn't get unemployment benefits. If it's the other way around, you may get partial benefits.

It's not for ME but - ok, they probably won't get any.
