Maryland HORSE PARK Public Hearing

Happy New Year,
The Horse Park Task Force will be holding a public hearing in the Banneker Room at the George Howard Building, Jan 10th at 7:00 pm.

Your attendance, testimony and/or letters to the County Council would be helpful as the process of studying the horse park in Howard County continues. It is important to demonstrate the support that exists for the horse park.

I also believe it would be helpful to enlist comments from non-horse people regarding the horse park concept for Howard County. This could include local businesses (or groups), farmers who sell products to horse people, people who might use a multi-use facility for recreation, people who value open space rather than development, etc.

When I clicked on the second link it said the location was Gambrills.

Grambills was the first choice location that was voted down last year.

According to this article,

"Howard’s task force will examine costs and potential locations before county officials decide whether to vie for the park."

I wonder why they didn't choose insead one of the other proposed sites. This looks like they're beginning from scratch.
