Dim's have controlled MD General Assembly for a century but this is Trumps fault?

The Administration is totally ignoring the $3B structural deficit this year they plugged by raising some taxes, instituting or raising fees and accounting magic.
Then there's the projected $5B structural deficit next year and the close to $6B one the year after.
Those had as much, if not more, to do with the downgrade than anything else.

What happened to the old adage "Never put all your eggs into one basket"? MD still has more fed employees than any other state, so instead of diversifying the dems will just blame Trump and demand a bail out.

In all fairness Moore has been saying that the State needs to diversify employment since before he became Governor and the reason it doesn't keep up with job creation is due to the dependence on FedGov. The Legislature mostly ignores him on that as it did with every other Governor who brought it up.

Just gotta keep the rubes in line until he gets reelected. He doesn't plan on finishing that term anyway....

At least they admit that MD thrives because of Fed govt largess.
Not really thriving if you are totally dependent on someone else to fund you.

Spend way less so your credit is AAA, that is thriving.

What is the state of Maryland fiscally doing differently now vs 1973?
