Is that why the light sentence?
Hey, it could have been less. If the threat was towards a Supreme Court Justice they wouldn't have even been arrested.

edit: Checking US Code (18USC351(e)) threats of assault only carry a fine and/or maximum of 1 year (unless use of a weapon or actual injury take place).
